  • I'm up for it.

  • Ouch! Innocent film picks causing grief. Glad it didn't have bigger fall out. Antichrist for the next Sunday night film ??

  • The Prince Charles Cinema are showing Salò soon if anyone needs any date ideas.

  • The Worst Person in the World. Brilliant and affecting

  • Another positive for Everything Everywhere All At Once, my wife said it was a mother and daughter story on acid, which I thought was a good summary and a good recommendation. The rock scene is fab.

  • Going to give this a go. 😁

  • Thought it was really good

  • Ha! 😂

That's one I've not seen, like with "Men behind the sun" I'm not sure I want to either.

  • Everything Everywhere All At Once

Such a great Ice Pirates vibe to it, and I almost lost it when I realised that Data (OG, not TNG) was in it.

  • Data (OG, not TNG)

    who is that?

  • Whatever expectations you have for ‘Men’…: reset them. That shit was weird as fuck - the last half hour anyway. The first half was genuinely tense and very unsettling but then it did get a bit freaky. But, for someone who generally avoids any type of horror film, I really enjoyed it. Jessie Buckley was perfect. Might have to start watching horror films…

  • I'm really looking forward to seeing it. I think I've only seen Ex Machina and Annihilation by Alex Garland but liked them both a lot. Jessie Buckley is great too.

Edit: I didn't realise he'd written for a few of the good, early Danny Boyle films.

  • Nor did I. And he wrote The Beach?! As in the actual book. Crazy.

This film is not like Ex Mach or Annihilation at all lol. But enjoyable nonetheless. If not a bit up it’s own arse at times.

  • Ha, I didn't spot that he'd written the book! Nice, looking forward to it. As much as I like Ex Machina and Annihilation, it's boring when the same director tries to churn out the same film as many times as they can get away with.

  • From The Goonies

(He also played Short Round in Temple of Doom)

  • Ke Huy Quan

  • First Blood in 4k at the Prince Charles soon! Looking forward to that one. 😁

  • Years late to watching "A girl walks home alone at night". Good thing I didn't miss the chance to see it.

  • So good! I'm overdue a rewatch.

  • I bet it's a film that has a lot to reward a rewatch. Also, that ear-piercing scene...

  • Really enjoyed the first third of Wrath of man where Ritchie stuck to ripping off Heat/Sicario/the Town but then the toff guy decided what we needed was back story and exposition. Lost it's way after that and a good cast and was wasted. Still, as a mindless action thriller it was ok and he spared us the jazz flute.

  • Yes! Some good stuff on the list, been a while since i've watched La Haine.

  • Funnily enough I watched it again recently and was a bit unimpressed. I remembered liking it the first time but was a bit bored second time around.

  • That's pretty much all films though because you know what happens.

  • Not for me...I watch all the films I like several times normally, and my favourites i've watched at least a hundred times.😁
