  • Cheers guys. To put things in perspective, I've just had a son - Ella has a brother! Bikes can be replaced (I'm trying to convince myself).

  • My white vintage BSA single speed racer got nicked from our hallway in London Fields by some scally as my housemate was putting out the bins last night : (

It had a black globe rear wheel and an old chrome steel 27 1 1/4 up front.

Any sightings give me a shout.

    Cheers

  • Sorry it also has bright blue dia-comp brake levers making it quite distinguishable.

  • guys a friends of mine bike was stolen last night outside from fabric
and right now someone is trying to sell it on gumtree

do u know what are we suppose to do?
we called the police but they said that we need to contact gumtree, we wrote an email to gumtree but in the meantime the bike could be sold

    help!

say to the seller that you want to buy it. make out you are a geniune buyer, and turn up and bring the police along. bring a recipt to show its yours.

  • Hi all! Had my white charge dish (old ones - so no stickers) wheelset nicked last night from outside my house, camden road.

They have green halo courier tires, and had not long been cleaned, so in decent nick. Although there were quite a few black scratches on them. I bought them from Mark Andrews, and didn't change them at all - so here are some photos (by him, I don't have any!). Let me know if anything turns up! Cheers, Dae...

Oh, and I guess the only really defining thing about them is that they have yellow valve caps... although the fucker could just remove them... :(

sorry to hear about the bike james. will keep an eye out.

    and congrats again

  • Just a heads up to anyone leaving their bike by Bethnal Green Tube.

It happened just over an hour ago, as I was on Cambridge Heath Road waiting to turn left on Roman Road. I noticed a guy acting a little strange around the bikes parked on that corner, as I looked closely he was actually going around stealing whatever didn't need heavy duty tools, like lights etc.

If I was with a guy (sexist) I would have said something, but quite honestly he looked pretty scary. Once he'd finished he called for one of his friends in the park, so he could hand over whatever he'd taken... He's around 6ft in height, early 40's, shaved head, mixed-race (racist) and was wearing a camouflage coat.

I've reported it to the Police, so if you return to find parts missing off your bike, pop to Bethnal Green Station to check if anything has been handed in.

  • or this?

yes it is, if the member can receive them *doh!

  • Truth.

  • Cheers murts - insurance claim in, fingers crossed.

  • or this?

That is well dodgy - unlisted and then relisted. seller willing to take a £1400+ hit 'cos he cant cycle for 18 months. yeah right.

  • Good point. Maybe I am just trying to find a reason not to purchase...

  • Anyone misplaced this beauty?
