It's basically decriminalised
One of the boroughs had their branded electric cargo bike stolen. Cops did the usual, citizens found the bike, no charges were pressed against the guy caught red handed with it. Bike was recovered by said citizens.
Honestly, other than catching an occasional beating from the wrong victim, why would cunts steal anything else?
Any more info on this case?
Not that I’d be comfortable sharing online, but there’s not much else to say that’s very important. Have clarified that the bike was recovered.
Not to worry. Only asked as I have previously worked with council cargo bikes
Just as an update, police have actually been in touch - agree that they're the same shifters (whcih have now been sold) but are intending to "invite the seller to come in for an interview" once they've got the details from ebay.
Not entirely sure what any of it means, but at least they're sort of doing something...
Very distinctive - and treasured! - "Bad Sally" fixed gear bike stolen just off the Old Kent Road today:

Two Cannondale bikes stolen from a garage in Lewes last night, if anyone has any leads please let me know. Photos below.
Shit, second garage in Lewes hit of recent weeks
Not sure if anyone can work this out, but do the majority of posts on this thread relate to bikes stolen at weekends?
My impression is that it is the case but I can’t work out why.
yup - reported to police, reported to ebay and no action whatsoever from either. now sold too, so shifters will be long gone...
