  • I've now got three different answers for the 50k min. speed so good to see no one else can make any sense of this stuff either! haha

10kph would mean I could get clever and stick some gravel rides in to see if I could get 1.5 or 2pts per 50k. I see the current leaders in the AAA thing are doing 1.5AAA 50k rides.

  • Yep I've noticed that before. I reckon a good number of Kent club runs I do would carry 1-2 AAA points if I could be bothered registering them as DIYs. But who can be arsed with that...

  • I'm only scrounging for points because I want 100AAA points thing.

  • Ah I forgot there was one after the triple award... Ok I might have to chip away at that.

  • Triple award?

  • Didn't realise the hundred is for one season though.

Yeah the best way would be to knock out loads of little ones. If I rode a 10AAA 600 I'd likely not even look at my bike for a couple of weeks and fall behind.

  • Yeah, the guy at the top seems to bust out a bunch of regular 200s. The guy in 2nd is doing lots of 50s and 100s.

  • just catching up myself - any ones you recommend - looking for short 100km for now - I'm just in Oldbury, Birmingham so easy drive down the M5

  • Hi - have only done a couple of 200km that Mark Rigby organises, always start and finish in Tewkesbury.

Did this 100km in sept last year - think it was The Teddy Bear's Picnic -

There are quite a few perms around the Worcester and Malvern area too that I have yet to really research but are on the database on the audax uk website.

Tbh - currently looking through the Lost Lanes Wales and Borders book and seeing if any of those routes could be turned into a 100k DIY as I tried a 200k last weekend and had to bail due to bad knee/fitness/awful weather/foul mood after crap breakfast at first control in Bromsgrove. Lost Lanes Midlands is going to be out later this year too I think.

  • Anyone on here done an Easter Arrow? I looked into it a few years ago but it didn't happen for one reason or another. This year could be possible. Any advice?
