  • Arcade Fire stuck on repeat here.

I went to their Porchester Hall gig last month, and it sucked. The sound was dreadful, too dreadful for words. It's a real shame too as their albums are among the finest to have surfaced in the last few years.

  • get cape. wear cape. fly. Like Arcade Fire a lot too, need to get the new album.

  • Wefunk shows, I like to work my way through these. Not much chat, just laided back funk and hip hop.

  • nice one TheBrick!
I haven't checked that for ages, in fact had almost completely forgotten about it!

  • Motherfucking Suicidal Tendencies.

  • The Knife. And that new Kings of Convenience LP.

  • That's some seriously eclectic listening habits you have there. Dizzee Rascal and The Brakes? Cool.

  • yeah, i'm a bit of a tart when it comes to music

  • you sure it's just music D.
    :-P

  • speaking of Arcade Fire,
anyone else looking forward to the new Rough Trade shop/venue thingy up near Brick Lane?
I'm in serious danger of ending up in financial dire straits if I start visiting that on a regular basis…

I hadn't heard about this, but just asked on a music forum I'm on and got given this link:

It sounds utterly awesome. I've been to Amoeba in both LA and San Francisco, and both are great stores... if the London Rough Trade can come anywhere near those, we'll all be bankrupt.

Thank God that there's no bike shop equivalent of that size and quality in London... can you imagine how bad things would be if we could get absolutely any bike part at a reasonable price?

  • Right now? Anaal Nathrakh!

  • Hell yeah Nathrakh.

I have a 'Cash Money Monday' mix of this including 'Far from Reality' that a friend bought back from Jamaica it is an excellent cd.
I also have an old album 'Too Experienced' by Barrington Levy that goes on when I rarely get in the car. :)

  • Ughhh, stuff currently on the top of the teetering CD pile:

    MSTRKRFT - The looks
Jamaican Rcds - Horace Andy Rare Dubs 1973-76
The Fall - Hex Enduction Hour
    Alec Empire - The Destroyer
Noah Howard - At Judson Hall
CSS - Cansei de ser sexy
Lee Perry - Arkology (on closer inspection discs 1,3,4. Suspect some charlie's wandered off with disc 2. man I hate that)
