Damn I have wanted one of these ICS Campag groupsets for ever... It's only about £5k over my budget
Why would anyone store a bike"worth" 6 grand that badly and let it corrode that far?
Is it rust or gold?
And that paint job sooooo sweet
1.9k brother swift with average components... might take a while for the guy to sell hahah https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254576609565
maybe he needs the funds for a photography course
Thought it must surely have been a typo but then he said "Hollow halo hubs for weight saving" on a fixed gear bike and I realised he probably thinks it is worth that much.
I also found a link to another Italian site, that I couldn't make head or tails of, where it previously seemed to be for sale for €84
Unknown frame and rather nice
Why can't it be an ACS Paramount as this is what the decal reads I wonder....
Not sure on that, Seller thinks it could be a Mal Rees for some reason
It looks very well made whoever built it
Messaged the seller about why they think it could be a Mal Rees and their reply was -
Main reason is because it says on the transfers refurbished by paramount, also I have lots of photo graphs of Mal Rees and some of them have identical brackets to this one. The lugwork is a copy of the Mal Rees Ramilese made by Bill Hurlow who is one of the Mal Rees frame builders of which there were 4. It is definitely not a paramount as I also have lots of info on.
Oh, if you have information on ACS Paramount the Nottingham frame builder/bike shop could you forward it to me via a Direct Message-it was my dad's local bike shop when he was a kid so I would be interested....
IT is a lovely frame whatever, rather too big for me though....
information on ACS Paramount -
Not me I'm afraid, That was the reply from the ebay seller, So it would be worth giving them a message.
Interesting part-titanium Raleigh.
Do we have a thread for neon bikes ? Also can someone buy it and take decent pictures so we can all look at it properly https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202974424763
The pics are not that bad..
This looks like a Mal Rees built by Bill Hurlow that I had and @IRLeo now has... Same fork crown and same lugs but mine was a Path frame. Any idea what's on the BB shell? I have the details of a guy who is good friends with a colleague of Bill Hurlow's at Mal Rees, he verified that my frame was a Hurlow.
Any idea what's on the BB shell?
No idea I'm afraid, The seller on ebay should be able to answer that query :)
More neon - 531 Dawes Quest MTB / touring frame for 26" wheels:
Quite rare Orange CX Frame
Nice condition frame, odd mix of parts with the group set. Finishes in a few hours -
