What material are people using for home-made mudflaps?
In answer to this, I've just made some from bleach or caustic soda bottles, which are thicker less brittle than other bottles. Very happy with them. Used two very small bolts with nylocks through drillings in the guards.
Bottles are particularly good as you can used the various curves and bends in the mouldings to get the shape you want.
When you make some, I recommend you make them much too long, fit them, and then cut off to desired height from the ground. If you cut before fitting, chances are you'll underestimate how much you want.
