True, he's a top notch wheelbuilder, but from personal experience, just make sure you get the price quoted in writing before you pay him.
I don't know whom makes his frames, but when I had the paint stripped from mine (professionally done) there was pitting behind the seat tube.
The frame hadn't even done 1000 miles, and all the riding was done in dry weather. I only got it re-sprayed because I didn't like the colour.
As far as I'm concerned his reputation is as clean as his shop.
