After getting a new titanium frame (Enigma Esprit), I’ve decided to sell my Merlin CR Works frame which I bough new in 2006. The Merlin is almost certainly a better bike but the flat top tube of the Enigma is more to my taste these days than the compact geometry on the Merlin.
If you’re familiar with mid 2000s titanium frames you’ll know that these Merlins are really well regarded. It’s definitely a race-orientated frame though obviously being titanium it’s more forgiving than a carbon frame on longer rides.
There are a few marks on the finish eg some cable rub on the headtube and the odd other mark – these could presumably be polished out. One of the bottle cage bolts is non original, I think one of the bosses lost the thread or something and the LBS added a different bolt, which sorted the problem.
I’m thinking £625 for the frame, let me know if this is way off. Photo shows a Van Nicholas ti seatpost which I wasn’t including in this price but I can do a good price on this & a few other bits and bobs eg the original carbon forks & a CK headset if anyone’s interested.
SOLD to Big Ted

This is the extra large version and you can find the geometry here http://www.tirides.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/merlin_cr_geo.gif
