Tracked double bass o'dubs last night. U87 > focusrite pre > apogee duet > the bassplayer's MBP running Logic X.
Not sure about X to be honest, well not X per se, just Logic in general. The longer I use it the more I'm finding weird little limitations that get on my tits.
Why can't you destructively edit regions by rendering effects or EQ? In pro-tools you can fix a plosive by highlighting the pop, applying an eq and rendering it. In Logic you have to work around cutting and pasting and messing about with other tracks or re-routing outputs and recording new sections. Faff.
I dunno, I do really like a lot of things about it bt given that none of my nice Softube audio unit plugins will work with X anyway, I was thinking why not go Pro-Tools next time I want to upgrade?
