• Hey Skully do you have other cats? Or is this a general cat problem for your son?

Many a time my mum has told me the story of when we got our first cat, and I was a toddler - I had the same reaction. They were worried, took me to the Doc and he said "whatever you do, don't get rid of the cat!"

The exposure got me used to it, and while sometimes throughout childhood the cat would make me sneeze a little, itchy eyes etc, it was never a problem. And so I have always loved cats - just wish I had a garden for this little fella.

You'll wanna get your son checked by the doc if you decide to keep the cat - I bet they'll suggest a hayfever tablet to calm it down as it is basically the same reaction.

This. I had reactions to cats when I was a kid but always had cats with no dramas. Still have one now.
