Good spectator/ref turnout for such misreable weather.
Schlongs started well with Jackie scoring effectively off the charge and Louis slamming home a bunch of goals to make the score at the end of the first chukker 11- 2 to Schlongs. the major difference was definately Louis who was the best player on court by a country mile with Winter has Come struggling to deal with his lefty bullshit.
Fuschia gave some lefty bullshit of her own back with a couple of sweet goals to boost the confidence a little despite Winter has Come already having a mountain to climb.
The next chukker was much closer and harder fought with Winter has Come woken from their reverie, more organised and fighting hard to stop Louis' inexorable lefty bullshit. Maddie made some great plays in defence and Fuschia scored again but James and Jackie were hustling hard for Schlongs in midfield with the pressure paying off after 10ish minutes with some great goals from James and Louis coming just at the right time to put the game now firmly beyond Winter has Come.
Despite Winter has Come still gamely fighting for a now improbable 15-0 win in the final chukker, Schlong's organised play and some accurate lefty bullshit from Louis was too much for them and the game finished 26 - 3.
Fun game to ref and special mentions to both Jackie and Maddie (no bias, jus tru fax) who have both improved alot recently and played great
Woo top of the table! (Probably for less than 12 hours!)
Thanks Ben, I agree that maddie has really come on recently, I can't really comment on Jackie as I don't think I actually saw her play before agreeing to being on a team with her! But she's much better than I expected for someone who's hardly played outside of beginners!
I also think Paul's play has come on leaps and bounds, his checking was really hard to deal with. I've said before that I think Fuschia is going to be the strongest lefty in London, her old bike was holding her back, once she gets used to the new one it's just a matter of time!
Finally and most importantly, I think you under estimated James effect on the game, he had by far the best goal of the game, and generally bossed the midfield.
