FYI the Croix de Fer is a wonderful bike to ride, so smooth and effortless but fun too. A pelasure.
The Crest rims were wonderfull, with 28c tyres it was like floating on a cloud. Really nice, made the ride of the bike great. Not a single puncture either!
Having the racks on the front was such a good move. With the weight low and on the front I didn't even notice it was there, the bike handled wonderfully, so responsive and assured even when going down country lane hills.
Disk brakes were a great feature, when it was wet I didn't need to worry and the performance with luggage was impeccable. I had a few close calls, so put them too the test.
Such a beautiful bike. If I were to buy one bike to do it all, this would be it.
