  • Post your cat out through the flap shortly before feeding time and then beckon them through to get to the food. Any resistance and you should go outside and post them through. Keep this up for a while and they will learn that this is how they get in an out of the house.

    Will try just that. Although she does wait by the door, instead, so waits round the corner and as soon as the door is open, she comes running in...

    Erm... another question, sorry I have many as most of you know, I am all new to the world of cats. I have changed her dry food from whiskas to iams, and what I have been seeing is she would only eat the cheap (whiskas) stuff when she had no choice but with iams, she seems to eat it like snacks... I would put some out and she would just come and eat it right away. I give her a pouch as her main meal and usually leave a handful of dry food for her to munch throughout the day in case I don't come home on time etc. She has already put on almost 1/2kg weight and it's only been 5 weeks... have I been doing it all wrong?? Last thing I want is she turns into a fatty but don't want her to feel hungry either...
