The particular flavour of 'the establishment' represented by the Telegraph has always had it in for cycling anyway - a sport that in its heroic past was the preserve of such undesirables as young working-class men, northerners, and the French.
You might as well ask the Telegraph to run a blog about pigeon racing or Calvinistic Methodism, it's inherently programmed to misunderstand it
