I'm building a BMC Team Machine as my 'Sunday' bike. I was looking for a top end frame for a while and had a few different ideas about what I might go with. When this came up, it was such a good bargain I couldn't refuse:
The only other parts I have at the moment for the build are some unused Zipp 303 Firecrest rims that I bought from Mountaingoatmatt. I am using this thread to get suggestions on what parts to run, links to bargains and any other feedback on the build. I don't plan to use the bike until Spring / Summer so it could be a relatively long process.
First question: I need 18h front and 24h rear hubs for the 303s. I am veering between the cheaper option of Hope Pro 3s, or the pricier option of Royce. Any thoughts on what to go with? If I do go with the Pro 3s, silver hubs and spokes, or black hubs and spokes?
