It's a big enough difference. Not sure that it's big enough to fit a third size in between, but the market seems to be moving away from 26" completely, with 27.5/650B/584 being the new standard for ladies/shortarses/long travel bikes
36" is clearly too far, unless you're about 7'6" tall
