if you want your brake tracks to stay black you're going to have to either find some Mavic CD rims or get some h+son and use Swissstop green pads.
Personally I noticed a good difference with wider rims like the tb14 and archetype when using 23mm tyres.

That was the other consideration, do the wider rims really feel better? Is it just cornering or generally? I'm on 25c GP4000s which are lovely.
