Have to says I agree with Zdrenka, I loved my cable pull disc because I did not know much about setting up hydraulic, but even so, the hydraulic advantage is that I don't have to do much.
It's like an internal gear hubs, they're reliable and last for ages without requiring any input, but can be a royal bastard if it does go wrong.
hydraulics isn't uncommon on flat bar touring bicycles as well.
