I've had a spate of valves blowing: there's no damage to the tube, just the valve fails. I'm not using higher pressures than usual (80psi - 100psi).
Mostly (but not exclusively) Continental tubes which have removable valve cores, so is there any way of refurbing them?
Perhaps gently smearing a little Vaseline around the O-ring...
