Sorry chaps, I know there a few of these on here at the moment, but I finally have started putting together my first build after about 18 months of research, mainly on here, and getting all the parts together. This is going to be a high speed commuter.
I currently have:

I also got a cane creek cross top lever from Hamster but the damn thing doesn’t fit my bars because the idiots at Cane Creek call their levers 26mm but they actually don’t fit a 26mm bar. Retards.
Bike was due to be operational yesterday when I got the brake lever but the damn thing doesn’t fit so now I am waiting for Planet X to deliver me some Tektro ones that actually are 26mm.
Anyway, I have everthing else assembled, and wrapped one side of the bars to see what the tape looked like.
Quite pleased so far. Weighs in at around 8.6kg, but admittedly this was on bathroom scales so not sure how accurate this is. Now thinking I need to get a proper leather saddle, but the spoon will have to do for now.
