i'd recommend you e-mail Miche or the shop you bought the wheels from to be sure what freehub you need. Planet X are usually quite helpful.
the only reason why mix'n'match wouldn't work is if the spacing between cogs on campag 8speed and shimano 8speed cassettes is different. I'm sure you could find out if they are the same with a bit of google. maybe try sheldon browns website.
