  • I've just pulled the trigger on a new laptop.

    I was coping valiantly with the lack of tab, caps, left shit key, a few random function keys, stuttering video playback, and even we pages with anything other that basic javascript taking an age to load, but now the battery and power supply are in cahoots to turn off every so often, so I shall be ripping the data, wiping the disks, and dropping the whole thing into the bin.

    What Windows OS should I get hold of, for those times when I have no choice but to use Windows? Space / memory is not an issue, but I would still like to keep it small and fast. Part of me wants to go XP too - you know, for old times sake. But I'll consider anything suitable.
