We saw a few people going aground, we were pretty keen not to do that, so we were watching the Ipad nav and the sounder fairly closely, in the end going in a straight line paid off and we overtook loads of tide chancers.
The wind was northerly, so it was reaching to the needles, gybe with spinny up, then a nice broad reach where we shredded the kite :( we then gambled on the 2nd kite shortly and then upwind to the finish.
There was a fair bit of land shadowing so we had to depower the top of the sails quite a lot to stay on course. Good fun though!
