OK so not that different then. It's a funny course in a strong SW - nasty lumpy Western Solent upwind but then the sleigh ride round the back of the island is definitely worth it. One year we all lost concentration after Bembridge ledge and ended up going aground at Ryde sands trying to get out of the tide.
