SRAM Omnium with GXP BB (developed for use only with 1/2 x 1/8 chain) - 44mm chainline
Shimano Dura-Ace Track 7600 1/8-Inch Cog - 44mm chainline
Izumi Standard 1/2 x 1/8 chain
Without the chain the cranks and the wheel spin silently
With the chain all the noise comes from where it engages with the cog
Lots of noise regardless of how tight or loose the chain is.
