I can't remember how long it took but I killed a Pasela quite quickly on a bike with a brake. I think a Michelin Dynamic Classic has lasted almost as well, might be difference in how I ride the bikes tho...
They'll definitely hold up longer than other gumwalls but I'm not sure it's long enough. I don't like skidding on them either, always felt really slippery and like it was just sliding without slowing me down even with my weight back.
