I think they hold relatively well. I've got those in 25mm in my low and 35mm in my gangsta. Kind of slippery and predictable wear without pieces ripping.
Ive never had gatorskin hardshell though, but definitely paselas are the best skidding tire with tanwall (or maybe blb black mamba, havent tried)
