Just got my hands on an Eddy Merckx Aluminium frame (not bad for £130?) to go with my Mavic Aksium wheels. Once finished I'm going to take this bike for a trip across the Pyrenees so performance is important.
I'm thinking of going for the Shimano 105 5700 groupset - any thoughts?
Also, not sure about bars, stem and seat post. Alu to go with the forks....?
