I was just thinking about this. I don't Das - half as often as I should. (Unless I know the person.) Instead I open with 'Are you on the forum?' If I get a 'yeah' then I say 'Das' - obviously this only works if I am going the same way or parking of something.
I have an idea for just this situation.
What we need is a spoke card - come intro card with the URL of the spotted thread on it. (Can we even do sticky urls to threads?) That way we can just hand it to people. If they want they can check out the thread and introduce themselves perhaps. #justanidea
