Making some assumption here ..
53 : 39 is your front chainrings = 14 teeth difference
32 : 11 is you cassette = 21 teeth difference
You need a total capacity of 35 teeth. You short cage has 29 teeth capacity so .. a 26 : 11 is about as big as it gets.
A Sram PG950 is available in 26 : 12 which will work with Shimano.
Depending on your frame you can sometimes squeeze a little extra capacity out of the mech by changing the pulley wheels to 10T. But thats a suck it and see situation.
