"Tufo tape is the business no matter what Edward "the olden days" Z says. I've run it, read many reports on it, and it is conclusively safe. And whether or not its easier to mount is a personal preference, but spending two days faffing around with layers of glue and paint brushes vs sticking a nice tidy piece of tape on is a no contest for me.

And getting the tyre seated and centered properly has an infinite time limit, as opposed to glue which starts setting very quickly and becomes immovable."

As much as I love the idea of tape, I'm let to believe that tape isn't allowed at the track, which to me suggests that it isn't quite as safe as the old glue. Also I'm under the impression that the pros still swear by glue... just saying.
