No point in converting it when it already does the job, plus it's likely your BB will be slightly lower with a track end, so there's not much advantage to get it done.

Hurrr, I would quite like to and ride it now, hopefully the drain cleaner will have worked its magic on the seized seatpost and I'll be able to just slide it out without any cutting.

Not holding out for that happening though.
