I know my chain is stretched when the cog is so backwards my tire ends up rubbing the mud guard... probably nowhere near going to come off but annoying.
The single-link KMC that came with the charge hob had a link removed after 500 miles but it's now stretched out again. It was fine single-speed but once I went fixed you could nearly see it stretch.Time for a new one!
