• I didnt mean any of what I said to be a character assasination of anyone.

If anything I said seems harsh it's because Ive got little patience left for people who present entirely anecdotal or misleading stories as justification for a certain train for thought.

The 2 original paragraphs state that in one case death was averted but mentions nothing of the treatment, which was likely the sole reason for survival, while also inferring that it was down to praying alone. If so, why on earth wouldn't this mystical healing have prevented paralysis?

The 2nd one I actually find pretty offensive considering Ive just been through 6 rounds of chemotherapy over 3 months. Ive felt and experienced every stage of what the poisons and drugs have done to me to save me day by day hour by hour, and I can tell you now it's nothing mystical or supernatural. That her friends and relatives prayed for her is entirely irrelevant to the story - she's undoubtedly alive now because she was regularly pumped full of cytotoxic drugs or had surgery.

Well documented proven cases of healing by prayer: Find just one.
Survivors of illness through modern medicine: Almost countless.

Rowhan, I really hope you do recover. I truly wish you well.

Paragraph 2 of my post: I do not know what treatment was given.

Paragraph 1 of my post: no treatment, in fact the consultant basically 'pulled the plug' from the venitlator and let nature take its course. My dad isparalysed from the wais down, so apparently is described as having ' limited movement'. Have to be PC about these things.
