That's a pretty harsh judgement. I wouldn't label someone who held such beliefs as any of the above. Under times of great duress it's very easy to put hope and faith in things for which there is no proof or evidence. You perhaps shouldn't judge people so hard for that. If it wasn't a very natural response by people we'd likely not have religion, that we have religion and it's endured thousands of years does show that it is natural. I actually think it's quite a hard thing to hold the scientific position in the light of the sublime beauty of the universe. It's hard to dispel a sense of the miraculous.
But this starts to get academic at some point, I'm just not for judging so hard. If you accept anyone can make any claim and a good position is to have some capacity for doubt, then that works both ways and you should always consider your own position from that perspective.
