According to Sheldon, there are tiny differences between Italian, British and ISO freewheel threads ( http://sheldonbrown.com/gloss_e-f.html#freewheel ).
In the old days, a freewheel was a freewheel and it didn't matter who made it, they all fitted. I had hubs by Campag, Shimano and Suntour and they all took whatever freewheel I had. I can't imagine things have changed.
