  • I've got a set of Hollowgram SiSl cranks which are BB30.

    The arms and the axle are seperate parts- in fact the whole design is modular so you can change spiders and so forth.

    I have an SRM unit that takes the place of the spider, and this unit is bulkier than the simple spider it replaces.

    Cannondale make an SRM specific bearing shield (which moves the entire axle 0.5mm toward the drive side) and a specific axle (which again moves the entire unit over to the driveside by 1mm).

    Currently I have the SRM specific bearing shielf with the conventional axle, and two 0.5 spacers on the drive side.

    Best to leave as is, or swap the bearing shield for the normal one, put the SRM specific axle in, and remove the spacers?
