I'm going to take that reply as justification for weighing some of my other mallets, my first mallet:
425g (aluminium pole from hardware store, yellow gas piping)
Bamboo mallet:
270gs (surprisingly light, considering it's got a massive gas pipe head)
Titanium:
347gs (this mallet is shorter than the rest at 83 cm, the rest are around 97cm)
My capped 3m on Rik:
321gs
Finally the modular head I got from chucker recently, that should be the heaviest because it's got extra pole to secure the head is:
336gs
