I was speaking generally, you took it personally so made some rather odd jokes about running over cyclists. Forgive me for not being tremendously keen on taking road safety advice from a couple who don't know how to check if their vehicle's road legal.
I think some of your posts indicate a kind of subversion of logic, when you say cyclists strung out on a road or taking the lane are "dangerous" I think you need to have a think about what you're saying. It isn't dangerous to ride a bike along a road at all, the danger comes when drivers carry out dangerous overtakes, too fast, too close, whatever. The risk comes from how drivers react to the other road users. I have no idea if it's true to say that farm machinery and tractors cause more delays on rural roads than cyclists, but you just don't see the same hostility expressed toward them as you do toward cyclists, it's quite strange. A hedge trimmer sliced a bus open like a tin can this week, we're not seeing calls to ban such vehicles.
My commute would be much faster if buses, lorries and cars were removed from the roads, that's not going to happen so I live and let live, no sense taking a vehicle on the road and complaining about others doing the same.
