I didn't really know any pickup drivers before I started in the job so I had an open mind and no preconceptions. The company I worked for also offered 7 days Driveaway insurance so people could test drive vehicles and we'd cover them for 7 days free of charge so long as they were over 21. This was routinely abused because you could only take up the deal once every twelve months. People would try all sorts of scams and give alternative addresses but we'd search our system for the reg and discover they'd taken up the offer before, same name and reg but different address, so we'd decline cover. The vehicle they'd try to get cover for was very frequently a pickup.
