Internet affirmation is what keeps me going through the dark winter months.
The 3t's do seem to weigh a ton, but from memory they're part marketed as a training wheelset. So I guess the weight wouldn't necessarily be a negative.
A23's vs the Alpha's is tough. A while back I was weighing them up and I decided that the Alpha's were just a bit too pricey. I figured for that money I'd rather spend a little more and have the HED. C2's. I justified that they'd have the aero edge and that negated the extra weight, plus they had been tried and tested.
