I'd like to think of myself as someone who'd put performance over aesthetics...
...but there's a limit.
I'm now sold on the BHS build. I don't race. I often ride on shit roads. I just want a non-white wheelset with a wide rim that will allow me to use a 25mm tyre in the tight rear clearance, give a nice smooth ride, and be a sensible weight and price.
There have been lots of good ideas, but no one has actually said, "those SLF85W's are shit, half the bust sets that I see [insert location] run them". Nor has anyone actually suggested anything that can match ~£180 full stop.
As for the 3T's, I still haven't seen any "clinchulars" near that depth south of £1k, so tbh if I didn't already have a few other things in mind for the saved money I'd still probably go for them over anything else suggested yet.
