British Cycling are doing half-price membership (useful for 3rd party insurance and legal advice) if you use the code in this link:

Furthermore, I signed up to one of those cashback sites - quidco - which will apparently (not holding my breath) give £12 cashback at some point in the near future. So effectively, membership is free.
