I fell off this morning. No damage to bike and just a few small bruises. It was totally avoidable on my part.
I was stationary at a red light in primary with a car and small lorry in front of me. Light changes to green, traffic moves off (as do I). Ped steps out in front of car. Small lorry rear ends car, I rear end the lorry. I was only doing about 5mph at the time and went down in installments.
a) I should have allowed more space between me and the lorry
b) I should have been paying more attention to the road ahead as I had the chance to react to the stopped lorry quicker if I had brake covered and was paying attention.
