Interesting that when (call me Dave) David Camerong's bike got scoused in Notting Hill, the old bill carried on like Peter Sutcliffe was still at large.
I've just seen two coppers in Portobello Road with their backs to some bike racks talking to the public and giving directions to the European masses whilst some "yoots with intent" sized up which ones they'd rob.
I asked them what they were doing about cycle crime and one replied rather sarcastically that it's not actually seen as a massive priority for them, whereas rape, murder and drug related crime was.
I did ask him what he'd do if I murdered a rapist drug dealer who was nicking my bike...
