  • I can still taste the gargle. Where is the grappa.. I knew when we arrived on Friday that Base Campion had win written all over it. As a 3rd generation family run DOCG vineyard producing on average 150,000 bottles of quality prosecco a year. Cunegonda, Fernando, Margi, plus the kids and Grandma all made us feel at home. Great tip heading to Trattoria alla Cima in the dark via back roads on the first night, to taking the squad to Treviso (fast train) to catch a few hours in Venice made our hosts the friendliest and most hospitable ever. Also big shout to Massimo for organising this event, and Dudley of 5034tours for bringing +60 Brits over for the weekend.
