Saturdays ride took me from E5, and a random coin flip to Greenwich via Old Street, second coin flip took me to Bromley, third coin flip to Battersea, then to Highgate, down through Camden and back through Dalston and home. Flip the coin, lands on the map, ride to randomly selected destination. Was a good day, not tracked actual miles yet, but I had a smile on my face the whole way home.
Sunday, from E5 to Hyde PArk, via Bishopsgate (did'nt want to go through Angel as that's my route-to-work) to watch a mate run the half marathon. Managed two loops through heavy traffic, but it was fun. A roast in Mayfair then a bloody slow pedal home nursing a bump the size of a baby - Food coma ensued when I got back home. Big smile on a Sunday eve.
If you do go to the Lakes though and are of an MTB persuasion. do Winlatter, it's fast and technical and bloody awesome....... I've done it a few times, several oh Shit moments!!
