Hi,
I competed in the Etape Cymru last weekend. While waiting for a friend to come over the line a cyclist hit a woman who decided to turn her car and block the finish line. A rider hit her at full speed, he had nowhere to go. He's suffered serious spinal injuries and has undergone surgery in Liverpool.
I just gave a statement to my local police who took it on north wales police's behalf. The officer I spoke with mentioned they have very few witnesses and the BBC site is calling for anyone who saw it to offer any information they have - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-north-east-wales-19541192
So on the off chance anyone was there did see it and hasn't given their account to police, please do so.
