thanks northlondonlight. what are the condition of the wheels its hard to tell in those photos. and as for the metal issue, yes they are metal. im not very clever

Here are some more pictures of rims and wheel generally. Im not the best with a camera so do hope they give you a better idea of condition.

Condition is reasonable for their age 1983, as I believe they were original equipment, but as the bike had not been used there is some corrosion on spokes and the wheels as part of the bike have only had a basic clean to help me check out the overall state of what I bought.
